Social Auxiliary Work

A national priority in South Africa is to address the many social development needs prevalent amongst individuals, families, groups and communities.
Learn how CEFA’s Social Auxiliary Work course on a NQF Level 4 is changing communities, for the better.

Community Development

This qualification is the first of its kind in South Africa and also the first to offer vertical progression to the Bachelor of Community Development (NQF Level 8).
Community development is an emerging profession and discipline. This qualification is for everybody, employed or unemployed, who wants to become a change agent. Also for people who are already working, or who intends to work in a community development setting.

I was studying at CEFA from 2016-2017. In May 2018, I got a permanent job at Homestead Organisation based in Khayelitsha where I did my practical work. I still didn’t have my Certificate with me but because i did my practical under my mentor, I showed dedication, hard work and willingness to work, and not once did I miss my practical sessions. I was there on time and I did as told by the mentors and other staff members in the Organisation.
